Bitcoin is the world’s first decentralized cryptocurrency. The original idea came out of a 2008 White Paper written by the cryptic Satoshi Nakamoto. Nakamoto hosted the whitepaper on a site that he’s registered as a co-owner for, Bitcoin.org.
