Buying a house
The median price of a house in Belgium is €245,000. Because you can only borrow 90% of this amount, you need to put €24,500 (= 10%) on the table yourself.
Additionally, you will need to pay taxes, notary fees, mortgage registration costs, etc. These additional costs will total around €18,000 when buying a house of €245,000 in Flanders. When buying a property in Wallonia these costs will be even higher.
